I’ve always loved food.
I’m that girl who photographs meals, not originally because I planned to post them, but because I wanted to remember them. The pasta that was THAT good. The chocolate dessert that I cried over (yes, really). The meal that turned an ordinary day into something worth keeping.
Over time, my camera roll became a timeline of little foodie moments. Catch-ups with friends. Date nights. Coffee breaks that felt like lifelines. Plates of food that quietly marked different chapters of life.
Somewhere along the way, I realised these moments weren’t just for me. They were the kind of places you want to tell your friends about — the ones you message straight after leaving and say, we need to go here together.
What Girl Out For Tea is really about
Girl Out For Tea exists to celebrate all of those moments.
The spontaneous plans.
The booked-in tables.
The cafés you return to.
The restaurants that become part of your story.
It’s about sharing the joy of great food and brilliant local places across Derby, Burton and Nottingham, and making it easier to say yes to plans.
Because good places deserve to be talked about.
A love letter, really
This blog is for the girls who love trying new places.
The girls who order fries with the salad.
The girls who eat healthily one day and indulge the next.
The girls who find comfort, joy and connection around a table.
Because sometimes the best moments don’t need a reason.
They just start with one question:
“Shall we go out for tea?”
